Mike, can you please send me a copy of the reading on Habits, which you read at the end of the Monday class?
Thanks for your help and your patience. (I guess all of us are your patients and you are the patience provider.)

A Conversation with Rennaye Miller, a participant in the Mark Leader Grad School
How long have you been in real estate? I have been involved in real estate since 2004 with Realty Executives in Edmonton, AB. I have an interior decorating background and also hold an ASP (Accredited Staging Professional) designation that has been a definite asset in assisting clients to maintain their equity.
What made you decide to take Mark Leader’s classes? My first exposure to the Mark Leader Course proved to be a great starting point for my business. The information provided was realistic and easily applied to any situation. When Grad School was offered I knew immediately that it would add to the program that I was already using to improve my business.
Has your real estate income increased since you started the Grad School? My income initially increased when I starting applying the information from the course and Grad School. Due to a dramatic and sudden shift in the marketplace and the economic landscape, my income level changed as well. But the ongoing information available via webinars proved to be invaluable in getting back on track. Grad School has expanded my knowledge of objection handling techniques as well as additional ways to educate clients.
What do you think has been the most important thing you learned through the Grad School? One of the most important things that I have learned through the Grad School is to ensure that we are putting the needs of our client first. It is all about relationships and of course FOLLOW UP!
What has been the most challenging aspect of your career during the past year? How have you resolved it? The most challenging aspect has been the recent downturn in the economy. Buyers and sellers have been sitting across the table staring at each other and no one was willing to blink first! I have endeavored to think outside of the box and pick out the positives in the current market. Since it is a great time to buy properties, I strive to educate my clients on all aspects of the economy and not just what they hear or read in the media. I am using more of the available stats and data to support the information I provide. I have chosen to educate my clients more regarding trends etc. I have also teamed up with a mortgage specialist with common community associations and interests. We are working with our sphere of influence as a team and will also be conducting seminars for varying segments of the buying public. We are also approaching various businesses with related interests and joint venturing with them in order to access their data base. Attending more networking functions has also proven to be invaluable. A personal brochure has also been a great tool to add to my credibility. We realize that some efforts are long term, but we are confident that we will be able to reap the benefits in the near future. The use of a monthly newsletter has proven to be the most beneficial method of keeping in contact with past and future clients.
Have you continued to use the daily activity planner? How has it helped you? The daily activity planner is a valuable measuring stick to track personal goals and progress. No excuses, I just need to be better at recording my progress! Thank you for providing such an easy format to record the details and to keep me accountable.
Thank you to all of the Mark Leader presenters and staff for providing relevant and informative seminars, and for taking a vested interest in our success!

Hello Gang,
Great spirit and enthusiasm. With that Attitude I am sure great results will soon be occurring. I would be lying if I told you that I wasn’t a little disappointed with this week’s numbers, but again I know how great you are and as you learn more each week and apply it, success will follow. As Calvin Coolidge was quoted as saying, “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
Persistently and consistently apply what you are learning in Leader’s Choice.
“The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.” Anonyms.
Results are Top Team again is the “Rock Stars” led by Guy Brooks. They warn next week will be better as two of there best were out this week, Michele and Brenda.
Most improved is also “Rock Stars”… Mike
REMINDER – Location change, starting next Monday, November 3, at John R. Woods new corporate headquarters and training center located in the Polaris Bldg. on the corner of Goodlet Frank Road and Immokalee Road. Please be there no later than 9:15 a.m. for Mike’s special presentation.

Dear Leaders:
There are just two more sessions till graduation. The highest production in many programs happens between weeks 7-9. Why? Because most of the pieces of the success puzzle are already in place. You know what to do to separate productivity from activity, schedule an appointment when you want one and to handle objections like a pro. Practice makes perfect. We remember what we do most and forget what is neglected. If you are happy with your production to date, I am happy, too. If you need to do more, do it. Finish strong!

Hello Gang!
“Our chief WANT in LIFE is somebody who will make us do what we can.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Who or what motivates you to succeed, take risks, explore new ideas, form new habits and believe?
If your career is truly your calling, this quote may be meaningful.
“If is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man/woman can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
I am both encouraged and a little disappointed. Our results so far, number wise, are positive, yet in my opinion, much lower then our collective “true potential.”
Part of the reason is that some of us have just made the choice and commitment to form new habits of success. Another appropriate quote… “Progress always involves risk: you can’t steal second base and keep your foot on first.” Frederich Wilcox
Funny truth is, that it is never as risky as we think. A little blind faith and great effort, mixed in with consistent activity will always earn great results.
Our numbers after two reports indicate over 12 months our agents will average better than 12+ closings per year. That is approximately 2 (X) times the JRW 2007 company average per agent (closings). Not bad for only 2 reports of 8. Give us a couple of more weeks! Let’s commit to reach a 1.0 average per week! (i.e. 48 transactions per year average) do the math on those numbers, plug in average price and commission percentage and start planning on where to invest it.
It starts with a contact, then an appointment set. Set 3 a week and the rest will take care of itself. Remember “When we have done our best, we should wait the result in peace.”
Remember, come at 9:45 a.m. have your report and success story ready! See you Monday!
Voluntary Phone Prospecting night this Sunday at 6pm at the 2600 Immokalee Rd office. Please bring your call lists and be prepared to get some great appointments. Mike

Dear Leaders:
Struggling against time can be an uphill, frustrating battle. If you felt that you were out of control and that your business was managing you instead of the other way around, you now have tools and techniques to take back control. Thoughts are things. If you make a decision to be in control, you will be. Every day you have a choice. You can embrace your day from abundance and gratitude, or you can focus on scarcity. Attitude is everything. How’s yours?
Make this the week that you surpass your best week to date. You’ve got the skills needed…Use them fully!

The Meeting of Minds – Two of Real Estate’s Leading Forces Join to Provide Agents a New Way to Increase Sales Productivity
Weathering the storm. More than ever, this is the mindset of real estate professionals throughout the country. Implementing systems to increase sales productivity and hit the six-figure mark is taking a back seat to doing what’s necessary to bring in enough income to pay the mortgage.
Lenexa, KS (PRWeb) September 4, 2008 — For the last 15 years, Leader’s Choice-educated agents have enjoyed success while many have left the business altogether. Leader’s Choice graduates double their listing inventory, double their sales and generate more commissions. Now, Leader’s Choice has joined forces with The Personal Marketing Company, creators of customized, personally-branded real estate marketing campaigns, to create an innovative and expedient online tool.
Leader’s Choice and The Personal Marketing Company have announced the development of their first collaborative project, Leader’s Advantage, a set it and forget it way for agents to personally touch their clients or potential clients, on a consistent basis, with interactive and direct-mail marketing. Robb Murry, Chief Marketing Officer for The Personal Marketing Company, describes the partnering:
“We are proud and privileged that Leader’s Choice has chosen to partner with us. Founder Mark Leader is an
established author and a skilled communicator whose organization of dedicated trainers has helped 20,000 agents grow their business more than 200 percent in nine weeks. To give agents the opportunity to implement the methods taught during the Leader’s Choice program, we developed Leader’s Advantage.”
Leader’s Advantage is an automated, online system that is the antithesis to the costly, cumbersome programs that complicate rather than simplify agent prospecting. To begin the program, an agent inputs an individual’s contact information and, at the push of a button, e-mails or direct-mail pieces are automatically generated and delivered. Essentially, when the agent meets a potential client at an open house, he/she can enroll that potential client in an active buyer campaign from any computer with internet access and for the next eight weeks the buyer will receive personalized, branded e-mails (or pieces of direct mail) with progressive messages.
Leader’s Advantage also serves as a comprehensive contact manager. It tracks outgoing e-mails and includes a complete marketing log for each client. Agents can see all communication with any given person from campaigns they’re enrolled in to every e-mail, e-marketing or direct-mail piece that’s been sent.
For Jonathan D. Nicholas, President of Leader’s Choice, Leader’s Advantage is the solution to an ongoing
challenge facing agents everywhere. He explains:
“Years ago, there was a study that opened my eyes to the disconnect between customers and agents. The study showed 80 percent of customers as satisfied at the closing table. However, only 11 percent of those satisfied consumers utilized the agent a second time. Why? As an industry, we have poor follow-up habits. Our partnership with The Personal Marketing Company solves this dilemma once and for all.”

Dear Leaders:
If you’re following what we are learning, you will have scheduled 6 marketing presentation appointments. Are you on track for your goals? If so, take time to celebrate your successes. If not, review the Leader’s Cycle (session 1) and find out which step is being missed/weak. Are you allowing negative thinking and doubts to hold you back? Ask, believe and receive! Let’s make this a spectacular week. If everyone focuses on that goal, we’ll all benefit.

Hello, I wanted to not only do “my assignment” for Session Six but also, provide a ’success story’ for Leader’s Choice, as it has been a huge benefit for me and I am truly grateful to Mark, Reece & Nichols, the team (Leader’s Achievers, Team A) and all those involved.
I had been out of the business for almost three years, I needed a jump start and Leader’s Choice was the right choice for me (thank you Darlene & Carol). Leader’s Choice has provided me with the tools: dialogue, technique and process that I need on a daily basis to be in control of my business. I know I am the only one in control of my attitude and time, “If it is to be, it is up to me”! Aside from the tools, attitude and time management, I would have to say one of the most important things I have learned from Mark and Leader’s Choice is “listings are the way to the top”. Before coming to Leader’s Choice Training I used to have the attitude that having a Buyers Agency was more important than having a Listing Agreement, wow, how INCORRECT I was. However, that’s ok, because “today is a new day, a new life and a new beginning; let the future begin and leave the past behind and be the best me I can be”!
Thank you Mark and Leader’s Choice!
